Assist in conducting LifeSkills Workshops for teen moms, providing mentorship and support to help them achieve their personal and educational goals. Volunteers will work alongside program directors to facilitate sessions and offer guidance.

Join us in our mission to provide free urgent care to the uninsured. We welcome healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, as well as non-medical volunteers to assist in clerical roles and provide meals for our volunteer teams.

Assist in organizing and distributing allergy-friendly food to community members in need. Volunteers will help ensure the pantry is stocked and assist clients in selecting appropriate food items.

Volunteers are needed to help clean and feed the cats and assist at events. This role involves ensuring the cats are well-cared for and helping with the setup and management of events.

Assist in providing support and education to mothers on breastfeeding practices. Volunteers will help facilitate support groups and provide resources to new mothers, ensuring they have the guidance needed for successful breastfeeding.

Meal Prep Volunteers help prepare freshly-prepared dinners for approximately 75-90 residents each evening at the Akron House. Shifts are scheduled in advance, and ingredients are provided through donations and grocery store gift cards.

Core House volunteers spend the majority of their time in shared common areas cleaning, stocking, baking, prepping meals, washing towels, and assisting families as needed. Volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of three months of service and must be at least 18 years old.

Provide emotional and spiritual support and hospitality to guests, family, and visitors. Read aloud and participate in supportive activities with guests and families.

Assist staff caregivers with resident personal needs and interventions according to the plan of care. Maintain guests’ bedrooms/bathrooms and observe Grace House Standards of Care.

Provide pet therapy visits to residents and guests.

Provide a nourishing home-cooked meal to guests, enhancing their dining experience with quality food.

Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including basic construction and installations.

Perform hair care and styling, as well as nail care such as filing and applying nail polish for residents.

Welcome desk volunteers are needed to greet, check-in, and assist visitors. They provide hospitality to guests and families, conduct tours, distribute brochures, and occasionally answer the phone, record, and distribute messages.

Provide music to residents and visitors, enhancing their experience with live performances.

Perform routine pet duties such as pet walking, grooming, and shopping for supplies. Provide companionship to residents' animals.

Perform housekeeping duties and routine cleaning to ensure a pleasant, healthy, and safe living environment. Shop and run errands, stock and inventory food and household supplies.

Assist with data entry, filing, record keeping, mailings, and other clerical projects. Help with the creation of brochures, PowerPoint presentations, invitations, and other publications.
