Silverton Fire Dist
The Silverton Fire District is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Resident Volunteer Firefighters, RV. The positions are 2 year positions with the possibility of being extended to a 3 year position depending on the program being completed. This position does require that the individual use the fire station as their primary residence. The RV will be assigned to a rotating shift of 24 hours on and 48 hours off. During the assigned shift the RV will respond to calls for service. The RV will also be required to attend weekly drills whether on duty or not. The Fire District will supply the RV with sleeping quarters that will be shared with one other RV, laundry facilities, kitchen and recreation room. | Requirements: - Successful completion of the Physical Agility Test and drug screening - Valid Driver’s License - At least 18 years of age - High School Diploma or GED - Insurable by the Fire District’s Insurance carrier - Enrollment Full-time in one of the following programs; Fire Protection, Fire Prevention or Emergency Medical Services | Categories: Firefighter
