We open our doors every Saturday from 12–3pm and can always use friendly, reliable people to help welcome the public.

No formal credentials required—just curiosity, care for historical accuracy, and an interest in hands-on exhibit work. Our intimate space gives volunteers genuine creative freedom.

We are actively seeking volunteers with personal or educational ties to the Tongva people, the original inhabitants of the land on which Montebello stands. Your knowledge and perspective would be invaluable in helping us tell the story of California's First People with the accuracy, depth, and respect it deserves.

We periodically update educational materials and exhibits, and we'd love someone who can bring history to life visually. Portraiture and figure illustration especially welcome.

Volunteers are responsible for all administrative work, ensuring that 100% of donations are directed towards providing resources for domestic violence victims. Tasks include data entry, managing communications, and supporting the organization's operations.

Teach adults how to use modern technology through structured classes. Volunteers will provide instruction on basic computer skills, internet usage, and software applications.

Assist students in grades 4th-12th with learning and participating in robotics activities. Volunteers will guide students in building and programming robots, fostering an interest in STEM fields.

Help maintain the plot located across from the Shabarum Skyline trailhead. Volunteers engage in planting, weeding, and general upkeep of the area.

Council 36 is looking for volunteers to assist with various events, including distributing food and toys, providing technical support at meetings, and going door-knocking to help get out the vote. Join our team to help distribute food to underserved hospitality workers and their families. Volunteers will assist in packing and distributing food relief packages, ensuring that those in need receive essential supplies.

Help maintain the plot at the end of Lathrop St. Volunteers engage in planting, weeding, and general upkeep of the area.

Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks during CicLAvia events, including assisting with way-finding and providing information to participants. This is a great opportunity to engage with the community and promote active transportation.

Join us as a volunteer along the route for the CicLAvia event on Sunday, September 14. Volunteers will assist with way-finding, manage participant traffic at car crossing points, and provide information about the route and activities.

Join us at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to help sort and box food that will be distributed to those facing food insecurity. Volunteers will work in teams to ensure that food is prepared efficiently for our network of agency partners.

Assist with maintaining the plot located 200’ up the path from the Audubon Center. Volunteers meet on the first Friday of every month for planting and maintenance activities.

Join Reaching Out California and the Brown Bag Lady to distribute sack lunches, clothing, and hygiene items to homeless individuals on Skid Row. Volunteers will help prepare and hand out essential items to those in need.
