Respond to fire incidents and lays, connects and operates hose and nozzles. Directs water streams, establishes water supply, raises and climbs ladders. Also, works with ropes in tying knots and helps in setting up rescue rigging, uses chemical extinguishers, uses saws, axes, ventilation fan or smoke ejector and other equipment to ventilate structures and expose hidden fire areas, helps in salvage and overhaul operations. Performs general maintenance work in the upkeep of fire station buildings and grounds, cleans and maintains equipment and station. Decontaminates apparatus, equipment and clothing exposed to fluids and blood, potential airborne or blood pathogens. Maintains at least a good level of overall fitness and is physically capable and ready for incidents. Demonstrates positive behavior which reflects support for the Board of Directors, Fire Chief, Fire Officers and all Personnel with respect for the Fire Districts philosophies, policies, goals, and Objectives. Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively to determine a proper course of action. | Requirements: 18 years of age. Clean criminal and driving record. Valid driver's License.
