Volunteers are needed to support youth education programs serving over 40,000 children annually. Former teachers are encouraged to apply, and additional training will be provided. Volunteers also assist with adult education programs on plant-related topics.

Volunteer with the Plant Conservation Program to maintain a seed bank for imperiled plants, study Minnesota's terrestrial orchids, and conduct field studies. Tasks include cleaning seed collections, conducting research, and collecting data.

We are looking for compassionate volunteers to help in the care of our animals. Responsibilities include observing the well-being of the animals, cleaning stalls, refreshing water bowls, and maintaining the cleanliness of the sanctuary. Volunteers must be comfortable with physical tasks such as bending, scooping, and lifting hay bales.

Our dogs would love to find you! We are often in need of strangers to 'get lost' for our K9 Teams. Training locations are outdoors, and you must be dressed for the weather conditions and wear shoes you can walk in. You should be able to walk a minimum of ½ mile, and be prepared to wait at the end of the trail for anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours.
