Gooseneck Bend Fire Protection District - Muskogee, OK - Muskogee County Fire Departments | Requirements: We are seeking volunteers from a variety of backgrounds, including firefighters, maintenance personnel, medical responders, and grant writers. Firefighter Responsibilities Firefighters will be on call to respond to various emergency situations, such as fires, medical incidents, vehicle accidents, and rescues. Time Commitment The most critical requirement is having enough time to meet the minimum attendance requirements. While we understand that many people juggle jobs and family responsibilities, we have volunteers who manage to balance these commitments successfully. Training and Experience No prior experience is necessary, but volunteers must be willing to undergo training. We provide comprehensive training through the Oklahoma State Fire Academy to ensure the safety of our team, the public, and yourself. If you already have training, that’s a plus!
