We serve the City of Pegram, and it's rural district, and also south Cheatham Co. We are about to open a new station in our rural district, and new recruits are needed. We highly encourage residents of the south Cheatham Co. / Pegram area to join. We are also able to allow those not residing in the county to join, provided that they can make all the required training, and duties. Newly admitted Volunteers (Probationary FF) are required to complete a 3 month period of attendance of bi-weekly equipment check offs, and Department trainings. Also a 16 hour TN Basic Fire Training course will be completed to advance to Recruit FF status. Recruit FF's are eligible to attend and complete over 120 hours of State mandated and Department training to become eligible for FF Status. TN Emergency Medical Responder training is also available for FF status members. All members are required to attend at least one bi-weekly Equipment Check off, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, and at least one Department training on the 1st Tuesday and the 3rd Sunday of each month. Additionally one 12 hour shift at the station for residents in the district, or 48 hours of shift work at the station for those who reside outside the district are to be completed. We provide the training and equipment, you provide the time and motivation.
