Work includes direct participation and continual training in firefighting and rescue work, fire protection inspection, equipment operation, and routine maintenance of equipment apparatus and of fire stations and grounds. Work is directly supervised by a department officer and is regularly reviewed through observations, inspections of work in progress, results obtained, and work performance evaluations. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Works under direct supervision of the Full-time Firefighter and Fire Chief, as well as utilizing the appropriate chain of command. SUPERVISION EXERCISED None. Capture the beauty of the gardens and events through photography. Volunteers will document the progress and activities in the gardens.
FRIENDS OF THE ROBBINS TOWN GARDENS INC
Assist in organizing and coordinating events in the Robbins Town Gardens. Volunteers will help with event planning, logistics, and execution.
FOOD LINK INC
Volunteers sort food and then load boxes into their personal vehicle for transport to a recipient agency or back to the Food Link Hub. A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
FOOD LINK INC
Drive Food Link vans to various destinations for grocery shifts, pickup/delivery shifts, and bulk-pickups. Requires a valid driver’s license and completion of a 1-hour van training.
FOOD LINK INC
Participate in group volunteering for team building and community service. Tasks include sorting produce, packing boxes, and organizing food items. Groups of 7-10 volunteers are scheduled for 1 to 1.5-hour shifts.
