Interested in helping your community saving lives and property. The Holton Fire Department is looking for volunteer firefighters. We cover 239 square miles of Jackson County. | Requirements: Qualifications for membership (A) Must be 18 years of age (B) Must have a valid Kansas Driver’s License (C) Must be free of any felony and/or serious misdemeanor convictions. (D) Be a resident within the fire district or within a five (5) mile radius of the City of Holton and/or a Satellite Station (Denison, Circleville) for at least (1) year. (E) Be of good character and be of high moral standing within the community. (F) Be subject to substance abuse and drug screening test as per City of Holton employment requirements. (G) Be subject to a background check. (H) Be physically fit to perform any and all duties reasonably expected of a firefighter.
