The Southport Fire Department is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the residents of Southport and Fairfield. Established in 1895 following a devastating fire in Southport, Connecticut, our dedicated volunteers have been faithfully serving the community for well over 100 years. We are seeking individuals who are interested in making a difference in their community. We are looking for volunteers to fill the positions of firefighters, EMT's and department support roles. Through leadership, dedication, integrity, professionalism, and education the Southport Fire Department strives to protect the lives and property of the residents and visitors of Southport, Fairfield and wherever else called upon to serve during times of need. The department accomplishes this mission by providing a vast range of emergency services, community relations and fire prevention education locally and answering the call to respond to any disaster or terrorist attack abroad.
