Become a volunteer firefighter/EMT with FHC. We are looking for individuals who are interested in giving back to the Newville community. We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions - firefighter, EMT, social member (assist with fundraising and administrative tasks), and junior members (ages 14-17). We are an all volunteer department operating an engine rescue, engine tanker, heavy rescue, brush unit, 3 basic life support ambulances, and 3 support units. We respond to approximately 350 fire/rescue incidents a year, and 1300 EMS incidents. Last year we had 23 working fires, 13 vehicle accidents with entrapment. West Pennsboro Fire Company is 100% volunteer department seeking new members to help support the community. We need people for operations and administration roles in the organization. Our company services West Pennsboro Township and surrounding communities. Firefighters participate in public safety operations, including fire suppression and assisting with other emergencies. Training is provided. Fire Police participate in public safety operations, including traffic control. Training is provided. Conduct monthly water quality monitoring in partnership with ALLARM. Volunteers will use field kits to test water samples for various parameters, contributing to the health assessment of the watershed.

As a Conservation Advocate, volunteers will support the CCC's mission by advocating for the conservation of land and natural resources in Cumberland County. Volunteers will engage with local decision-makers and the community to promote conservation efforts.

The Bendersville Community Fire Company has served the community for over 100 years. Over the years we have provided several services to our community. Fire suppression, Motor Vehicle efforts, EMS, land rescue, and much more. These efforts come with a price tag. Over the years we have made fundraising not only about supporting our services but also away for the community to come together and enjoy great events with great food to support a great cause. This obviously creates more time for our volunteers to provide banquet quality foods to the public instead of providing the services that we hold dear to our hearts. We are in search of an individual able to coordinate the hall rentals, food ordering, and other duties. | Requirements: This individual must be aware of the serving standards, and be familiar with cooking. Certification in the Serve Pro industry is required to be obtained within the first 60 days. This individual will be in charge of all the food ordering for banquets, and fundraising events. Communication will be key to the sucess of the postion as the individual will be responsiable for coordinating other volunteers for help for the banquets, and coordinating with the committee chair persons need for fundraisers.
