Collaborate with the PDRC to plan and execute community events that promote Poultney's downtown. Responsibilities include event planning, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring successful event execution.

Support the PDRC's marketing efforts by assisting with social media posts, creating promotional materials, and engaging with the community to raise awareness about downtown initiatives.

Assist in maintaining and beautifying Poultney's downtown through gardening and streetscaping projects. Volunteers will help with planting, weeding, and general upkeep of community green spaces.

That means attending weekly trainings and participating in department operations. We require 24 hours of training per year for all active members. We conduct trainings on Tuesday evenings. All training and equipment is provided for free. Firefighting and rescue operations are physically demanding, and require a high degree of fitness. But if you are not very fit or are physically disabled in some way, don't count yourself out! There are many valuable roles in the fire service that might be a good fit for you.
