Volunteers assist staff by helping with guest needs, cleaning, and organizing. Opportunities are available for serving hot meals in the evenings or running the clothing banks. Volunteers are encouraged to commit to a regular weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly shift.

Candidates will be asked to help the department with fundraising events and for providing support to our Firefighter and EMTs when they are on prolonged Incidents. Candidates must be able to follow all current protocols as listed by our local medical director. Candidate's should have an interest in or already posses a EMT- Basic or Higher certification. The Plymouth Township Fire Department serves a community of around 2,000 residents over 22.4 square miles. The area geography consists of a rural and suburban landscape as well as 11 miles of interstate and state highways. The department responds to approximately 450-500 calls per year. We also have Special Teams opportunities. Our EMTs receive a biweekly incentive of $20 per call (7am-11pm) and $30 per night call (11pm-7am) for responding to emergencies. Our EMTs also get a $20 per Department training attended, Uniform allowance, paid CE website to maintain certification.
