In the Restocking role, you will assist in restocking food items in the market while it is open. This position is essential for maintaining an organized and accessible shopping environment for clients.

As a Shopping Assistant, you will help clients navigate the market, select their food items, and aid in the checkout process. This role involves direct interaction with clients and requires a friendly demeanor.

As a Drive-Up Assistant, you will help load food into clients' cars and assist with our Choice Rack. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient food distribution process for our clients.

Assist in organizing and managing various fundraising events such as Pho Donation Events, Dance Lessons, and Karaoke Singing Events. Volunteers will help with event setup, coordination, and participant engagement.

Teach a virtual class on the benefits of growing native plants, including how to identify native species and design, install, and maintain a native plant garden.

Assist residents at Fix-It Clinics by providing guided assistance to disassemble, troubleshoot, and fix small household appliances, clothing, electronics, and plants.

Event Volunteers assist with set-up and tear-down at various events, as well as help during events with attendee assistance and general needs. Some Event Volunteers will also assist with staffing information tables at various community events such as church events and Woodbury Days.

Prayer Team Members pray for the Clinic, Staff, Clients, State, and other topics related to the organization's work on a designated day of the week.

Boutique volunteers assist with organizing donations, the boutique, and supplies. Occasionally, they assist clients with shopping in the boutique.

Client Education Volunteers work closely with Advocate staff, assisting clients with completing their education hours, reviewing knowledge with clients, and organizing and hosting classes. They may interact with clients in person or over the telephone.

Board Members meet 6-8 times a year, assist with oversight, and help create the Strategic Plan. They are asked for a 3-year commitment.

Volunteers can serve on various committees, such as Finance, Event Planning, Fundraising, and Outreach. Committees meet 6-8 times a year primarily via Zoom and are asked to make a 1-year commitment.

Volunteers commit to regular hours on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and assist with document organization, miscellaneous administrative tasks, greeting clients, and assisting with phone calls.

Mailing Team volunteers assist with preparing large mailings for quarterly newsletters, donor contact, and events. They may also help with preparing other correspondence.

Provide form information to the webmaster and booklet, and distribute ribbons to competition winners. This role supports the organization and execution of the fleece competition.

Assist with various tasks during the festival, including helping with setup, providing information to visitors, and ensuring the smooth operation of events and activities. Volunteers will help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Support activities aimed at improving the health and well-being of older adults through the Wellness 50+ initiative. Volunteers help organize and facilitate events and workshops.

Lead discussions that help participants think about aging and ageism. Facilitators are trained to guide conversations that promote positive attitudes towards aging.

Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's social media feeds to engage the community and promote VAN's mission and programs.

Help check-in students and assist instructors with setting up their space for classes. Ensure that all materials are available and that the classroom environment is conducive to learning.
