Help third-graders at Onalaska Pertzsch Elementary improve their reading skills as a Read to Success tutor, facilitating reading activities and discussions.

Volunteers will be individually paired with a performer, ensuring their pair has an awesome experience. You will participate in every aspect of the camp, from learning the dance to performing on stage.

The Student Volunteer Program is designed for individuals aged 16 and above to explore healthcare careers and contribute to the community. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one shift per week for 12 weeks and complete onboarding requirements.

Adult volunteers aged 18 and above are invited to join the healthcare team at Gundersen Health System. Volunteers must commit to regular shifts and complete necessary onboarding, including background checks and health screenings.

Volunteers perform a variety of tasks including sorting, stocking, repackaging, receiving deliveries, general maintenance, working one-on-one with clients, assembling food packages, and assisting patrons during shopping. There are limited shorter volunteer hour opportunities available. If you need a different time frame for volunteering due to work or school, please plan a minimum of three weeks in advance.

Assist with food package distribution at outreach sites throughout La Crosse County. This role is beneficial to students with nutrition and/or gerontology studies, as there are clients with dietary needs and seniors who enjoy socialization.

Needed items include canned veggies, side dishes like stuffing and rice, peanut butter, canned proteins, mac-n-cheese, healthy cereals, crackers, and personal care items. Donations can help keep the pantry stocked.

Support the library's Family Storytime events by helping set up the space, engaging with children and families, and assisting with storytelling activities. Volunteers should enjoy working with children and promoting literacy.
