The Benton Volunteer Fire Company is currently seeking individuals to serve their local community as a Firefighter. Assist in organizing and packing furniture and household items for distribution to families in need. Volunteers will work under the guidance of the Volunteer Coordinator and are encouraged to bring their families for a community service experience.

Assist in the care and maintenance of retired working dogs at K9 Hero Haven. Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning, and providing companionship to the dogs.

Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks at the cat café, including café staffing, cat care, building maintenance, social media, and event planning. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by an adult if under 17.

The Bloomsburg Fire Department is an all-volunteer department that covers residents of Bloomsburg and aid other surrounding fire departments, when needed. If you are a life time resident, new resident to Bloomsburg or a college student wanting to assist your community, we’re for you. We’re looking for individuals at least 18 years old who are interested in becoming a fire fighter, fire police and auxiliary support for the department. We will provide you with the training needed to fill your interest in becoming fire fighter or fire police. Our auxiliary members assist in fund raising, administrative duties, community events and many other activities. Our Junior Firefighter program is aimed at those between that age of 14 to 18 who have an interest in firefighting and then become a full member at age 18. We can fit your schedule to serve our community. | Requirements: We require no previous training in firefighter or fire police to become a member. To become a active member 18 years of age and order, you must submit an application with the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance & Pennsylvania Criminal Record Checks for Volunteers.
