Interior Firefighters must be physically fit, pass an annual physical and mask fit test, attend regularly schedule training and meetings, and complete annual recertification's. EMT's must have a strong stomach and mental fortitude to assist with hands on patient care for various injuries, accidents, and illnesses. You must be able to pass a 6 month long training class for licensing which includes ambulance ride time, ER triage, and in-house regularly scheduled training. Other positions available are Drivers/Pump Operators (non-class D license), fundraising assistants to sell tickets and host events, Public Education Specialists who perform various fire prevention and emergency procedure training for kids and adults, committee heads responsible for preparing budgets, scheduling events, and recruiting participation.
