Shoshone County Fire District #1 is currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers. We are a career/volunteer department that is looking to expand our volunteer program. We will provide the tools to better yourself for a career in EMS or the Fire Service. This is accomplished by us providing you with training opportunities, experience, affiliation for EMT’s, patient contacts, and much more. Educate the community on the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control the animal population. Volunteers will distribute flyers and speak at local events.

Volunteers are needed to walk dogs at the Kellogg Pound. This involves ensuring the dogs get exercise and socialization twice a day, seven days a week, regardless of weather conditions.

Assist in planning and executing fundraising events to support the operations of Shoshone Pet Rescue. Volunteers will help with event logistics and donor engagement.

Assist in transporting animals to and from the Kellogg Pound for veterinary appointments or to their new homes. Volunteers must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

Help manage and care for dogs during adoption events. Responsibilities include handling dogs and ensuring their safety and comfort during events.
