Volunteers tutor adult learners in English, one-on-one or in small groups. Curriculum and training are provided. Sessions are in the evenings in Ossining and Mount Kisco.

Help assemble bags of fresh fruit and produce, and break down boxes at our Port Chester Medical Center on Thursday mornings. This role supports the Food is Medicine program in partnership with Feeding Westchester.

Host a drive to collect newborn essentials, and sort and organize donated baby clothes. This program provides expectant moms with newborn necessities and important educational information to give their babies a healthy start in life.

Maintain a list of publicity outlets and handle press releases and calendar listings. This role requires moderate time, effort, and thought to effectively promote events.

Welcome and guide audience members during concerts. This role requires presence before and after concerts to ensure a smooth experience for attendees.

Join the Riverkeeper Sweep, our annual day of service for the Hudson River. Volunteers will help remove trash and invasive species from various locations along the river. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a tangible impact on the environment.

Participate in Riverkeeper's water quality monitoring program. Volunteers will collect and sample water quality data from the Hudson River Estuary. A commitment of 6 months is required.

Provide essential office support including mailing, document filing, data entry, and paper shredding. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of Riverkeeper's administrative functions.
