Volunteers contribute to ongoing projects supporting individuals and families in need by preparing and donating knitted items. This includes creating items for newborns, supporting group homes, and contributing to various charity knitting groups.

Organize and clean community spaces to maintain a welcoming environment for participants and staff. Ensure all areas are tidy and ready for use.

Assist trainers in weekly exercise classes designed for individuals with Parkinson's Disease. Help ensure a supportive and effective workout environment.

Support social and fundraising events through planning, organizing, and managing day-of tasks. Help ensure events run smoothly and successfully.

Provide basic administrative help to support the center's operations. Tasks may include data entry, answering phones, and assisting with office duties.

Assist in writing grants to secure funding for programs and initiatives. Collaborate with staff to identify funding opportunities and draft proposals.

Engage in advocacy efforts to raise awareness about Parkinson's Disease and the center's programs. Help build community support and partnerships.

Troubleshoot IT issues to support the organization's technological needs and ensure smooth operations.

Provide transportation for seniors to and from activities using a passenger van. Only a regular driver's license is needed, and training will be provided.

Capture events on video to create visual records and promotional materials for the organization.

Create brochures, flyers, and social media posts to help promote the organization's programs and events.

Capture photos of events to document and promote the activities and programs offered by the organization.

Teach basic, intermediate, and/or advanced English to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese speakers to help improve their language skills.

Assist in translating flyers into Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and other Asian languages to help communicate important information to the community.

Teach exercise classes to seniors of all mobility levels to promote physical health and wellness.

Teach art classes such as Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Knotting, Origami, Knitting, and Crochet to engage seniors in creative activities.

Lead square dance classes to provide seniors with a fun and engaging physical activity.

Provide educational seminars for the Healthy Aging Series, requiring proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese.

Coaches and Assistant Coaches play a crucial role in providing sports skills and mentorship to athletes. The time commitment is usually 8-12 weeks per sport, including weekly practices and competitions.
