The Providence Volunteer Fire Company, established in 1947, is a 100% volunteer organization. It provides fire suppression, rescue, collapse rescue, and emergency medical services to the citizens of Towson, HIllendale, Parkville, and the surrounding areas in a variety of areas including urban, suburban, and rural communities. Members take in over a 1000 runs each year gaining invaluable experience. Providence VFC is in the back yard Towson University and Goucher College but also minutes away from the following universities: Loyola University, Notre Dame of Maryland, Morgan State, Coppin State, and Johns Hopkins University.
