The Oxford Volunteer Fire Department is a 100% volunteer fire department. We have been active since 1945. We are always accepting new members to serve and protect the citizens of Oxford and White township. We are equipped with 2 engines and a tanker/tender for our non hydrated/ rural areas, we also have a john deer gator equipped with a water tank that is used to assist forest fire and also assist for off road searches. Our county fire academy where we send our recruits to getbtheir firefighter certificate is located 10 minutes away in washington. Currently, we have about 20 rostered members lead by our Chief Tim Weiss, asst. Chief Kevin Murray, Captain Matt Correll and LT Josh Reeder. Ne are always looking to add more members to our roster! We have a drill 2x a month on Monday along with our 1st Monday being a meeting and the 3rd being a truck/equipment maintenance day for a total of 4 Mondays per month and the occasional weekend drills. The Junior Firefighter position at Good Will Fire Company #1 is an entry-level role designed for individuals ages 16 to 18 interested in learning the skills and duties of a firefighter while contributing to the safety and well-being of the Belvidere community. Participate in re-enactments during the Mount Olive Memorial Day Ceremony to bring history to life and honor veterans. Volunteers should be enthusiastic about history and comfortable performing in public.

Participate in ceremonies honoring fallen heroes, particularly on Memorial Day. Volunteers will engage in activities that pay tribute to veterans and contribute to the community's remembrance efforts.

Deliver meaningful dance performances at events to honor veterans and enhance the community's cultural experience. Volunteers should have a background in dance and a commitment to community service.

We are an all volunteer organization chartered February 14, 1945 and still dedicated to preserving life and property from fire and other hazards in the villages of Shawnee-on-Delaware and Minisink Hills and surrounding areas. Corporate groups, scout troops, and high school student groups assist with one-day or short-term projects such as trail clearing, fence painting, landscaping, cleaning, and tack sales.

Volunteers participate in grooming, tacking horses, and either leading the horse or sidewalking for adaptive riding lessons, therapy sessions, or other equine-assisted activities. Additional opportunities include office tasks, barn chores, and maintenance.

Help our marketing efforts by taking impactful photos during therapy sessions, adaptive riding lessons, summer camp, field trips, and annual events. Twice a year, capture the fun at our Spring fundraising event and Fall Equus Gala.

Assist with all aspects of camp, including horsemanship skills, riding lessons, horse-related games, and crafts. Camp runs for 10 consecutive weeks starting mid-June, M-F from 8:30-12:30.

The Oldwick Fire Company is looking to recruit new volunteers for the position of Junior Firefighter. Firefighters help to minimize the effects of fire and other hazards within their community to protect life and property. We respond to fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and other miscellaneous incidents which occur within Tewksbury Township and surrounding municipalities. High school and college-aged students are invited to join the Youth Council, holding leadership roles and making decisions for the program. Members will represent the program at public events and communicate with local entities.

Volunteers will help assemble approximately 250+ bags each week at the warehouse, which are then delivered to schools for students in need. This is a great opportunity for team building and community service hours.

Volunteers will sit at The Weekend Bag Table, greet visitors, discuss the program, share literature, promote events, and engage visitors with activities. This role involves collecting emails for newsletters and volunteer interest.
