Building volunteers work with the organization to build, paint, and install toilets at host sites. Volunteers can join the mailing list to be notified of the next build opportunity.

Maintenance volunteers are responsible for ensuring that the toilets are clean, safe, and fully stocked. They can sign up for a routine day of the week or volunteer as their schedule permits.

Assist in organizing and managing events such as workshops, readings, and social gatherings. Volunteers can contribute in areas like catering, teaching, mentoring, or general event support.

Join the working board of up to 12 members to help organize and promote the various opportunities that WCWF offers to the community. Responsibilities include attending monthly meetings and contributing to the planning and execution of events.

Lead or assist in leading field trips to help birders of all levels get outside, find great birds, and learn new tips and tricks. Volunteers will guide participants and share knowledge about local bird species.

Assist in educating Grand Valley students and the public about birds and other wildlife at various events throughout the year, including the Fall Bird Banding Program and school field trips.

Help plant, weed, and water at the Audubon Nature Preserve, as well as perform other property maintenance tasks to improve bird habitats.

Participate in nationwide bird counts, including Christmas Bird Counts and the International Migratory Bird Count, and assist in independent monitoring projects for Western Screech-owls and Mountain Bluebirds.
