The Right Turn is seeking volunteers to assist with various community events and initiatives. Responsibilities may include helping with setup, managing activities, and engaging with participants to promote educational programs.

Volunteer firefighter positions open. We are a large volunteer organization that has the responsibility of protecting the city of Pierre and providing Rescue services to a three county area. We have equipment staged in four separate fire stations around the city. Come join our fight. | Requirements: No previous experience is necessary. Drivers license needed. Greet and assist visitors to ensure they feel welcome in the parks by providing information and answering questions. Tasks may include selling firewood, checking out rental equipment, light landscape maintenance, and cleaning cabins, comfort stations, and vault toilets.

Keeps the trails in top shape for visitors by performing maintenance tasks such as clearing debris, repairing trail surfaces, and ensuring safety for all park guests.

Cleans camper cabins after a guest has departed and prepares the cabin for new arrival. Tasks include sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash cans, washing windows, and documenting cleaning needs.

Contribute to the Great Plains project by assisting with various tasks remotely or in-person in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota. Volunteers should provide a brief description of their background and skills related to the project.
