Positions are also available for those individuals who already have certifications but live further away. The District pays for all training for new firefighters and aggressively promotes additional training for all personnel. The District employs personnel on a scheduled hourly basis (must have EMS certification) or on a call-back basis. In other words, personnel do not have to work shifts and may respond to calls from home or another place of employment. All of our personnel are part-time. There are no full-time suppression personnel.
