Must possess a high school diploma or GED 3. Must have a legal right to live and work in the United States 4. Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license 5. Must have a clear driving record for a minimum of three consecutive years, with no citations or convictions for traffic violations other than exceeding the posted speed limit. Any exception to this section will be at the discretion of the Fire Chief 6. Shall be in excellent physical health and able to perform physically challenging duties. 7. Shall pass a physical examination, drug screening and respiratory examination. 8. Shall pass a background investigation. Applicants may be rejected based on the results of the background investigation. 9. All current and future volunteer members may be subject to mandates, proclamations, guidance, directives, or other forms of regulatory requirements which apply to the Fire District. Should the Fire District and/or its personnel be subject to regulations by local, regional, Federal, State, or other agencies with jurisdiction or oversight, current and future volunteer members shall comply with those regulations, in accordance with those regulations and Fire District directives designed to implement those regulations.. Nothing in this section precludes the Fire District from establishing its own minimum participatory standards or entry level requirements, including but not limited to establishing standards pertaining to vaccination.
