Join KLSD Arts Alive as a volunteer to support arts education in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District. Volunteers can choose to help at the Elementary, Middle School, or High School level, promoting and enhancing the arts education received by students.

Volunteers assist with daily barn work including mucking stalls, filling water buckets, grooming, and paddock maintenance. Volunteers will learn about horse care and must attend a two-hour training session and orientation.

Participate in Volunteer Days on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM starting April 8. Volunteers will engage in land conservation activities and support local food projects.

Assist in providing adaptive riding lessons by helping as a side walker or horse leader, and mentoring adults and children with special needs. Volunteers receive orientation and training before starting.

Assist with fundraising, marketing, and event planning. This is crucial for the organization as it relies on donations to care for the dogs. Volunteers can commit regularly or on an infrequent basis.

Screen adoption applications, check references, conduct home visits, and interview applicants. Training and support are provided, but a commitment of a few hours each week is required.
