This department provides uniforms, a pager, electronic scheduling & mobile paging services, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work shifts once trained. Work includes: -Direct participation and continual training in firefighting and emergency medical work. -Fire protection & inspection. -Equipment operation. -Routine maintenance of equipment apparatus and fire stations and grounds. | Requirements: Nothing is required to start! Orrington Fire & Rescue is looking for members of the local community who desire to step out of their comfort zone and want to support their neighbors. When joining this department, it would be required to attend weekly training on Wednesday nights and a local 2-week fire academy at a minimum. All training is paid, and further advanced medical and fire training is offered.
