Assist with cage cleaning and socializing cats at the PetSmart Adoption Center in Prosper, TX. Volunteers are needed every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Senior volunteers should be available one day a month and be at least 18 years old. Other volunteers can sign up when convenient and should be at least 14 years old.

Take photos of adoptable cats for their profiles on the website and social media. Photos can be taken at your convenience and may also be used for fundraising events like Santa Photos.

Facilitate or assist in caregiver or patient support groups, offering emotional support. Train to become a peer counselor or mentor for families navigating Alzheimer’s challenges.

Assist with office tasks such as data entry, answering phones, organizing files, or managing donor databases. Help with mailings, newsletters, or preparing materials for outreach programs.

Offer respite care by spending time with individuals living with Alzheimer’s, providing companionship through phone calls, visits, or virtual chats to reduce feelings of isolation for patients and families.

Help organize or assist at fundraising events like walks, galas, or charity runs. Responsibilities include setting up booths, managing registration, handing out materials, or cheering on participants during events.

Assist with the daily care and rehabilitation of rescued donkeys, mules, and horses. Responsibilities include feeding, grooming, and providing general care to the animals, as well as maintaining clean and safe facilities.

Coordinate and assist with crafts and games for children during the Third Sunday Open House. Volunteers may sit at a table and help children with activities like coloring and playing Bingo.

Lead school groups through the Frisco Heritage Museum, providing educational tours and engaging with students. Volunteers should be able to manage small groups and speak clearly.

Serve as a docent during the Third Sunday Open House event, guiding visitors through historic structures and providing historical context. Volunteers should be physically fit enough to lead tours.

Assist with administrative tasks at the Frisco Heritage Center office, including data entry and organizing materials. Volunteers should have good organizational skills.

Lead special projects at the Frisco Heritage Center, coordinating with other volunteers and ensuring project goals are met. Volunteers should have leadership skills and be able to manage teams.

Participate in the annual Shawnee Trail Cowboy Day event, assisting with various activities and ensuring a smooth event experience for attendees.

Greet visitors at the Frisco Heritage Museum, provide information about exhibits, and assist with visitor inquiries. Volunteers should be friendly, patient, and helpful.

Serve as a mentor for remote TLT Leading Leaders Intern sessions, guiding interns aged 15 and older. This opportunity is 100% remote and occurs three times a year, focusing on leadership and professional development.

As a fundraising event volunteer, you will be an ambassador with the rescue and assist with setting up before the event, breaking down tables and/or tents after the event, talking with event visitors about the rescue, handing out giveaways, and helping recruit new fosters.
