General Farm Volunteers assist with various tasks such as gardening, photography, and occasional farm work. These opportunities are available on a more irregular basis.

Horse Duty volunteers complete morning and evening horse care tasks and barn chores weekly. These tasks include feeding and watering all the farm animals, grooming horses, mucking out stalls and pastures, and other general barn upkeep tasks.

Live-In Volunteer Firefighter: The Wyomissing Fire Department provides a Live-In Program for volunteer individuals to be part of the organization and provide a service to the community. The Program is open to mature, responsible, and professional individual. Our average annual call volume is 250+. We operate out of one firehouse with an engine, pumper tanker, tanker, two squads. Witmer offers free training to become a firefighter or Jr. firefighter. If getting dirty is not your thing, no problem! You can volunteer on the support side.
