Richlands Vol. Rescue Squad Inc (RVRS) was established in 1972. RVRS is the Basic Life Support 911 ambulance service and medium rescue provider for the Town of Richlands, and the greater northwest region of Onslow County, North Carolina. We have a large response district of 380 square miles stretching from the outskirts of Jacksonville, North Carolina too the Duplin and Jones County lines. We are a Non-profit 501c3 corporation, who is made up of highly trained and dedicated volunteers. Onslow County Emergency Services has two-part time Fire/Rescue Emergency Responders who operate out of our building during the normal business week. Our junior Membership Program really took off in late 2012 and have been very successful, with most of our juniors moving to general membership and officers inside our organization as well as having successful careers in Fire/Rescue or EMS organizations around the country. We pride ourselves with offering the youth of our area with a safe environment to better themselves while still helping the community and citizens of Onslow County. Your children will learn valuable training in both the Rescue and EMS fields as basic knowledge and training to help them succeed in life. | Requirements: Minimum of 14 Years Old. Chinquapin Vol. Fire & Rescue is looking for interested Men and women that is interested in serving their community! No experience is needed! We are ready to train applicants in the areas of Fire Suppression, Rescue, and EMS. Lucky applicants who become members are eligible to be fee exempt to receive formal training at educational institutions, and are eligible to apply for school scholarships pertaining to emergency services. We also offer a Jr Firefighter program for persons 14 to 17 years old! Meetings are held every Monday night starting at 7pm.
