The Pemberville-Freedom Fire Department (PFFD) provides Fire and EMS to the Village of Pemberville, Freedom Township and Parts of Webster Township in Wood County Ohio, covering a total 43 sq. miles. The quality of fire protection available to the citizens of the coverage area is evaluated by the Insurance Services Office (ISO). The insurance industry relies on ISO to determine insurance rates for business, industry, and homeowners. The Pemberville-Freedom Fire Department has earned an ISO Class 5 rating.
