Assist in organizing and managing community events in Waco. Responsibilities include coordinating with local organizations, managing event logistics, and recruiting volunteers.

Engage with the Waco community to promote local events and volunteer opportunities. Volunteers will distribute flyers, attend community meetings, and assist with social media outreach.

Facilitate NeuroSpicy Connections groups, providing a supportive space for neurodivergent individuals to connect and share experiences. Volunteers should be empathetic and able to foster open communication among participants.

CASA volunteers are trained to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. Volunteers work to ensure that children do not have to navigate the foster care system alone and have a consistent adult presence advocating for them.

Participate in open volunteer days every Sunday, engaging in basic cleaning tasks and respectful interaction with rescued animals. Volunteers must wear appropriate clothing and covered shoes, and bring a signed liability waiver.

Become a regular volunteer, either weekly or twice monthly, to help maintain a safe and clean environment for the animals. Duties include cleaning stalls, feeding animals, and other farm-related tasks.

This is a volunteer, unpaid position. Our volunteer firefighters protect the community in a wide range of emergency situations. The Volunteer Firefighter may be called upon to deliver fire suppression, emergency medical assistance, rescue, hazardous material responses, and public education to the citizens of China Spring & Bosqueville . Example of Duties Essential Functions: Responds to fire alarms and extinguishes fire Responds to calls for medical assists Responds to and renders assistance in emergency cases; Cleans and inspects equipment and apparatus after returning from a fire; Inspects equipment and apparatus and notifies chain of command of any defects; Makes minor repairs to equipment and apparatus, performs routine preventative maintenance tasks, and keeps records of such action; Keeps fire station, equipment and grounds in a clean and orderly condition; Participates in training activities and instruction sessions; Acquires and retains a thorough knowledge of the City, including streets, buildings, water supply, unusual hazards and related items; Performs various public information or education tasks; Enters inspection, training and (on occasion) and fire calls into the records management system Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with Department policies and procedures May respond to emergency calls for specialized service such as hazardous materials, confined spaces rescue, extrication and technical rescues that include high angle, below grade, swift water, trench and collapse rescues; May respond to non-emergency calls providing a wide rang of public service activities May be assigned other duties by Fire Administration Staff | Requirements: Minimum Qualifications 1.
