Student volunteers at the NEOMED Free Clinic engage in hands-on learning while assisting healthcare professionals. They can take on roles such as primary care clerks, behavioral health clerks, and pharmacy clerks, with opportunities for leadership as they gain experience.

Volunteers will assist with educational programs and activities, answer gardening questions from the public, conduct plant clinics, and engage in gardening activities with children, senior citizens, or disabled persons. Volunteers will also help in beautifying the community and developing community or demonstration gardens.

Assist in maintaining community gardens located at Walls Elementary School, Franklin Ave near the Haymaker Farmers Market, Davey Elementary School, and Kent Social Services. Volunteers will help plant and care for vegetables and flowers in raised beds during the spring and fall.

Work with elementary school teachers to educate students on healthy eating, the origins of food, and how to start their own gardens. Volunteers will participate in the Garden Club, providing educational programming and hands-on learning experiences.

We are a small volunteer department in Eastern Portage County that serves Charlestown Township and the majority of West Branch State Park. We train on Monday evenings from 1830-2130(ish). Our fleet consists of an Engine, Tanker and Mini-Rescue. We average around 220 calls a year. We first respond to all EMS alarms and are contracted with Ravenna City who handles all of our EMS transports. We prefer those with training/experience but are also willing to send you to school when available with some stipulations. Volunteers coordinate and develop strategic goals for the Dream Kit initiative, helping young women in the Foster Care System overcome barriers.

Assist in conducting LifeSkills Workshops for teen moms, providing mentorship and support to help them achieve their personal and educational goals. Volunteers will work alongside program directors to facilitate sessions and offer guidance.

Assist in organizing and distributing allergy-friendly food to community members in need. Volunteers will help ensure the pantry is stocked and assist clients in selecting appropriate food items.

Guide newly diagnosed women and women in treatment to help them feel less alone. Pair up with one of our survivors to talk/text and encourage them along the way.

Join the Snowbelt Symphony family by volunteering for general office help, data entry, publicity, fundraising, and graphic design. On concert days, assist with setup and teardown, ticket sales, greeting, ushering, concessions, photography, and videography.
