We at MCVFD are seeking individuals to join our department as Active Firefighters. Experience is not required. All needed gear is provided. Training at the station and area colleges is available and encouraged. We have training one evening a week. Fundraisers are a part of keeping the department running. | Requirements: No experience is required. Must be 18 or older. (16 or older for Jr. Firefighters) Substance abuse will not be tolerated. A clean background check is needed. 4 consecutive meetings must be attended prior to your application being assessed. Transportation to meetings and calls. Assist with various tasks during the Fig Festival at the Spruill Conservation Farm. Volunteers can choose to help with the 5K Perimeter Trail Run in the morning or assist with afternoon events, including collecting figs from trees.
