We accept Junior Firefighters starting at age 14. Honorary/Social/Supporting Members start at age 16. Full Firefighters are welcome at age 18 and up. We will discuss your interest and our operations with you and, if there is a match, we will walk you through the simple steps necessary to join our ranks. All training and equipment are provided free of charge and there are many benefits and opportunities available to those willing to stand up and be counted among those in Long Branch's oldest community service organization. Fire Company meetings are held once a month. The Division of Training conducts instruction and drills twice a month. All Firefighters must successfully complete firefighter recruit training (provided free of charge) at an approved Fire Academy (to be assigned by the department). | Requirements: Firefighters must have a good heart--both physically and emotionally. We are always there to help so you must have a servant's soul. You must be brave--brave enough to stand up and say "I want to serve my community" and then follow through on the training and commitment needed to be successful.
