Applicants with prior experience in or on a Fire Department, EMS, Police, Military, Medical or other specialties that can serve the Savoy Fire Department will have their application reviewed on a case by case basis as soon as it is submitted. | Requirements: Application Requirements: Must have the ability to: Communicate well with others. These members will also require dedicated hours where they must be “in house” (stay in the fire station) to be available for calls as well as able to respond to the station for larger/longer lasting incidents. 20 minute drive time from the station at 106 West Tomaras Avenue, Savoy for reserve members who normally do not respond on emergency calls and provide support services to the Savoy Fire Department (i.e. IT support, Administrative Services, etc.) Finally any person who lives in residence that is contractually covered for fire services by the Savoy Fire Department but outside of those drive times may join the department as well.
