La Madera Fire Dept
Volunteer firefighters account for almost 70% of the nation's firefighters. Volunteer firefighters respond to the same calls for service, use the same equipment and have the same training as paid firefighters, but due to economic reasons, volunteer their time and talent to the community in which they live to protect and defend their hometown from natural and manmade disasters. The La Madera Fire District currently has 20 volunteers and we are always looking to add dedicated men and women who want to make a difference in their community. | Requirements: Membership shall be open to all persons, of good character, regardless of race, sex or national origin, who reside or work within the fire district boundaries, or who reside in other communities but within twenty (20) road miles of Station 28. Applicants must be able and willing to answer alarms and attend meetings and training sessions of the department. | Categories: Firefighter, Department Support, EMT
