Join the community working to restore the Great Salt Lake to a healthy state by supporting policy work and grassroots organizing. Volunteers will help hold Utah’s elected officials accountable for implementing measures to dedicate water to the Great Salt Lake.

Members review achievement data, help identify academic needs, and provide input on school improvement plans, making it a vital role in supporting the educational experience of students.

Assist in planning, building, and maintaining hands-on activities and exhibits that educate the community on disaster preparedness. Collaborate with a team to create engaging and informative displays.

Lead or co-host preparedness workshops, simulations, or escape room events. Engage participants in interactive learning experiences to enhance their disaster readiness skills.

Volunteer for our HOPE Prison Mentoring Program, which focuses on mentoring prisoners who are being released and re-entering society. Provide nurturing support and case management services to help them plan for re-entry, ensuring they have housing, food, clothing, and after-care support.

Guest Services Volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the visitor experience at the Aquarium. They provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a welcoming and informative atmosphere for all guests.

Education volunteers at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium have opportunities to grow through progressing roles. They engage with guests and help inspire a love for animals and conservation through educational programs and activities.

Join a group of volunteer leaders who work together to strengthen and support Special Olympics Utah’s geographical areas. This role involves assisting with a specific competition committee in organizing and implementing sporting events at the area or state levels, with a time commitment of approximately 3 – 4 months leading up to the competition.

This is a short-term opportunity that involves providing assistance for programs or supporting a competition or event. No prior experience is required, and this role does not necessarily involve close physical contact with athletes.

Become a Unified Sports Partner® and work alongside athletes with intellectual disabilities in training and competition. This role involves participation in seasonal practices, generally 1 or 2 times per week throughout the season.

Work directly with SOUT athletes through teaching and training of a specific sport. This seasonal commitment typically requires 2-3 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks per season.

Assist in the protection and preservation of the Wasatch Mountains by participating in stewardship projects. Volunteers will engage in activities such as trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and educational outreach.

Provide programmatic support for the Club kids, including homework help, fitness activities, social-emotional learning, and more. Volunteers are expected to provide at least 10 service hours from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm throughout 3 days each week for at least 8 weeks, with each shift being at least 2 hours long.

Serve snacks and meals to Club kids. Volunteers are expected to provide approximately 4 service hours from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm (snack) or 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm (dinner) throughout 2 days each week for at least 8 weeks, with each shift covering the entire meal service.

Participate in the Food4Families initiative by helping to organize and distribute food to families in need. Volunteers will assist with logistics, packing, and delivery of food supplies.

Assist in various youth outreach projects including unsheltered youth street projects, education and schools, orphanages, and community centers. Volunteers will engage with youth, provide support, and help organize activities.
