Join the community working to restore the Great Salt Lake to a healthy state by supporting policy work and grassroots organizing. Volunteers will help hold Utah’s elected officials accountable for implementing measures to dedicate water to the Great Salt Lake.

Assist with the care and rehabilitation of rescued Shetland Sheepdogs. Responsibilities include feeding, grooming, and providing companionship to the dogs.

Lead or co-host preparedness workshops, simulations, or escape room events. Engage participants in interactive learning experiences to enhance their disaster readiness skills.

Assist in planning, building, and maintaining hands-on activities and exhibits that educate the community on disaster preparedness. Collaborate with a team to create engaging and informative displays.

Create and administer surveys, analyze data, and turn results into practical improvements and reports. Support the center's efforts in understanding community needs and enhancing preparedness strategies.

Assist with recordkeeping, events coordination, and organizational tasks. Support the planning and execution of events that promote disaster preparedness and community engagement.

Spread the word about the Disaster Discovery Center through events, social media, and marketing campaigns. Help increase community awareness and engagement in disaster preparedness activities.

Volunteer for our HOPE Prison Mentoring Program, which focuses on mentoring prisoners who are being released and re-entering society. Provide nurturing support and case management services to help them plan for re-entry, ensuring they have housing, food, clothing, and after-care support.

The HOPE Prison Mentoring Program focuses on mentoring prisoners who are being released and re-entering society. Volunteers are trained in the Women’s Case Management Model to follow gender-responsive guiding principles and evidence-based principles. They help women transition and overcome barriers to housing, employment, treatment, and reunification with children and safe family.

Assist in the protection and preservation of the Wasatch Mountains by participating in stewardship projects. Volunteers will engage in activities such as trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and educational outreach.

Serve snacks and meals to Club kids. Volunteers are expected to provide approximately 4 service hours from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm (snack) or 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm (dinner) throughout 2 days each week for at least 8 weeks, with each shift covering the entire meal service.

Provide programmatic support for the Club kids, including homework help, fitness activities, social-emotional learning, and more. Volunteers are expected to provide at least 10 service hours from 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm throughout 3 days each week for at least 8 weeks, with each shift being at least 2 hours long.

Support the Holiday Hand-Up project by helping to collect, organize, and distribute holiday gifts and essentials to underserved communities. Volunteers will work in teams to ensure smooth operations and joyful holiday experiences for recipients.

Participate in the Food4Families initiative by helping to organize and distribute food to families in need. Volunteers will assist with logistics, packing, and delivery of food supplies.

Assist in various youth outreach projects including unsheltered youth street projects, education and schools, orphanages, and community centers. Volunteers will engage with youth, provide support, and help organize activities.

Assist in the organization of the Craft Lake City LetterWest Conference, featuring keynote speakers, workshops, and community art projects. Engage with attendees and support event logistics.

Be part of a team that helps respond to provide 24-hour immediate support and assistance to individuals and families who have been impacted by a home fire or other local disaster. Both in-person and virtual positions available.

Social engagement volunteers interact with supporters on social platforms, help tell the Red Cross story and showcase Red Cross programs and services through social posts.

Join a lifesaving team to help support blood collections in your community. Volunteers assist in various roles to ensure the smooth operation of blood donation events.

You will be the critical link between blood donors and blood recipients by delivering blood, platelets, or other blood products to a hospital.
