This certified position serves a vital role in our response team. Our department is a recognized PA Department of Health Quick Response Service (QRS), and we are dispatched automatically with our local EMS agency to patients reported to be unconscious or in respiratory or cardiac arrest. We also respond whenever requested by EMS and routinely respond on all calls during severe winter weather. | Requirements: As QRS calls must be handled expeditiously, we rely on the swift response of certified responders. You must be certified by the state of PA as a Emergency Medical Responder or higher certification. We also require you to maintain CPR training that is no more than two years old. Nursery Cleaners are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the nursery, including cleaning litter boxes, floors, sleeping areas, and managing laundry tasks.

Kittensitters provide short-term foster care for kittens when the main bottle feeder is unavailable, offering a temporary home and care for the animals.

Transporters volunteer to pick up kittens from the nursery and drive them to their vet appointments. Occasionally, they may need to retrieve donations or supplies from various locations.

Bottle Feeders assist with feeding neonatal kittens during scheduled shifts, providing essential care to these vulnerable animals.

Whitehall Bureau of Fire is a progressive Volunteer Fire department with five stations. We are an all-hazards department. Assisting our Public in Firefighting, Vehicle Extrication, Dive and Swift water rescue. As well as a member of the county Rescue Task Force and Rapid Intervention Team. We also educate our public in Fire safety with our smokehouse trailer for children. All training is supplied by the department as well as equipment. Whitehall is one of three departments in the county with its own training grounds. Of the three we are the only training facility that utilizes live fire burns. | Requirements: We require that in the first month our member, learn where equipment is on the apparatus assigned to their station. As well as complete National Incident Management System 100, 200, 700, 800 and Haz-Mat awareness. These are an online course. Coplay Fire Department is a 100% Volunteer Fire Department located in Coplay, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. We currently have of about 20 active members, Coplay (Station 5) operates out of one single station in the borough.
