Personnel assigned the position of Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) are licensed by the State of Michigan to provide patient care. EMRs are responsible for rendering care to ill or injured patients in a variety of circumstances. EMRs assist in fires and other hazardous incidents by providing patient care, responder medical assessment, and rehabilitation. EMRs are expected to provide care to patients in vehicles and other close quarters. EMRs are further expected to assist with home safety inspections and support the health and welfare of the community. Within the station, EMRs assist with maintaining equipment, apparatus, and department facilities. Administrative, IT & Support Volunteers should: • Typically live in Stronach Township or surrounding communities • Apply and include what specific administrative or support tasks/roles they may be interested in participating in • Pass a comprehensive background check • Meet with a member of our administrative team to talk about more opportunities • No prior fire/EMS service experience is expected or required Time Expectations Administrative/support members should plan to participate in our monthly fire officer meetings.
