Join the committee to make a difference in the lives of older adults and otherly-abled citizens. Volunteers will participate in meetings and contribute to initiatives that support these community members.

Assist in organizing and executing the Emergency/Disaster Preparedness Event coming in May 2025. Volunteers will join the subcommittee and help with event planning and coordination.

Participate in the volunteer transportation program managed by Friends in Action. Volunteers will provide transportation to older adults, helping them access essential services and activities.

Man the Visitor’s Center desk, conduct hatchery tours, develop nature walks, and assist with outreach events. Volunteers must commit to at least 4 hours and will be provided with training.

Assist with egg care, spawning activities, and fin clipping at Green Lake Hatchery. Volunteers are required to commit to at least 4 hours and will receive appropriate training.

Assist in patrolling Toddy Pond for invasive plant species to help maintain the ecological balance of the pond. Volunteers will be trained to identify and report invasive species to prevent their spread.

Help inspect boats at the East Orland Boat Landing to ensure they are free of invasive species before entering Toddy Pond. Volunteers will educate boaters on best practices for preventing the spread of invasive species.

Volunteers aged eighteen and older are needed to help staff the library for fifteen hours a week. Responsibilities include assisting patrons and managing library resources.

Volunteers are welcome to help tend the gardens at the Lincolnville Community Library. This role involves planting, weeding, and maintaining the garden areas.
