Seaside Fire & Rescue provides fire protection, rescue, and emergency medical services to the citizens and visitors of the City of Seaside OR, the surrounding rural fire protection district, and mutual aid response to all ends of the County. Additional services provided include Water Rescue, High Angle Rescue, seasonal Beach Lifeguards, and Fire Marshal for inspection services. Our personal are also active in many organizations within the county related to Emergency Services including: HAZMAT 11 - The Oregon State Fire Marshal Regional HazMat Team, Clatsop County High Angle Rescue Team- made up of members throughout the county and managed by the Clatsop County Sheriff's Office, & the County Fire Investigation team. Our volunteers respond day or night, often leaving their family, friends, and jobs to serve the city. The volunteers are expected to maintain the same standard of training as paid firefighters and become certified through DPSST as Firefighters during the course of their training. Volunteers are needed to transport bunnies from rescues to foster homes, to and from the vet, and to their adoptive homes.

Foster Care Providers offer stray bunnies a safe place to stay and transition to their new life, ensuring they are healthy and happy before adoption.

Trained teams are needed to capture loose bunnies. This role can be stressful and physically intense, but is crucial for saving lives.

Assist with local restoration and fisheries projects to help conserve and restore local aquatic environments. Volunteers will engage in activities such as habitat restoration and monitoring fish populations.

Teach fly fishing, tying, and casting to local school students as part of the club's educational outreach program. Volunteers will help students learn the basics of fly fishing and develop their skills.

Assist in providing free community education about the dynamics of sexual abuse. Volunteers will help create an atmosphere of safety and understanding for survivors and contribute to the prevention of child abuse.

Play a key role in finding forever homes for our cats by managing the vetting and placement of cats with suitable adopters and foster families. Your efforts will ensure that each cat finds a loving, lasting home.

Use your social media skills to help capture our daily adventures, create engaging posts, and grow our online family. Your creativity can help us reach more people and find loving homes for our rescued cats.

Help us deliver and feed our 15 cat colonies each evening from 8-9 PM. This role is a direct and impactful way to contribute to the well-being of our rescued cats by ensuring they receive their much-needed nourishment.

Join us every day from 5 PM to 8 PM at our main hub to help prepare meals for our 15 cat colonies. You'll measure, mix, and prepare wet food, dry food, treats, and fresh water for our feline friends.

Connect with local businesses and online cat companies for support in the form of food, shelters, funds, or other resources. Your networking skills could greatly enhance our resources.

Assist in transporting cats to their vet appointments when needed. If you have a vehicle, your help would be a huge benefit to our rescue efforts.

Help us organize and run adoption and fundraising events. Your assistance can range from planning to greeting attendees, making your contribution invaluable to our mission.

If you have experience in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), we need skilled individuals to help us safely trap community cats for spaying and neutering. Join us to maintain healthy colonies.

Volunteers are needed to help run the Gearshack, watch the doors, and direct fans during the FisherPoets Gathering. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the event across multiple venues.
