East End Fire Department is a progressive volunteer combination department. We respond to between 800-1000 calls a year, 75% medical, 25% fire. We have three fire stations, 3 engines, 1 rescue, and 2 brush trucks to cover our 50 square mile area. We work hard, train hard, and play hard as a family, this job can get pretty serious at times, so you have to have fun when you can. Assist in organizing and conducting wellness programs, including exercise classes and cooking courses, aimed at improving community health. Volunteers will work closely with staff to ensure smooth execution of programs.

This position is ideal for high school, college, or prospective vet students. Interns perform tasks like paperwork, sending follow-up emails, and assisting with promotional events.

Transporters are needed to transport cats to and from rescue sites. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license, up-to-date car insurance, and a clean driving record.

Fostering saves lives by opening up space in our facility to take in more cats. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old and complete an application to determine eligibility.

Assist in setting up the arena, tents, and other necessary equipment on the Saturday prior to the event. Your efforts will help ensure each event day is a success.

Receive results from the show office, label ribbons with winner numbers, and distribute ribbons and prizes. No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided if needed.

Support the organization and execution of goat shows and competitions. Volunteers will assist with event logistics, participant coordination, and ensuring the smooth running of competitions.

Open and close the in-gate as horses enter and exit the arena, and manage the resetting of jumps. No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided if needed.

Keep track of class lists and order of go, inform entrants when it's their turn, and communicate entry numbers to the announcer. No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided if needed.

Engage with teens and young adults through various youth programs that promote leadership, community engagement, and personal development. Volunteers will assist in organizing activities and mentoring participants.

Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops on employment, independent living, and leadership skills for the deafblind community. Volunteers will help with event logistics and provide support to attendees during events.
