Applicants who are accepted must be willing to devote time to training, fire calls, fundraising, community relations events, monthly meetings, and called drills. Successful candidates shall serve a probationary period of twelve (12) months beyond successful graduation from the Connecticut State Fire Fighter I course is strongly encouraged.
