The Shorewood Foundation appreciates your interest in serving on one of its Committees. Committees work on grant-making, development and fundraising, communications and events, finance and audit, and nominations and board development.

Work with the Annual Fund Chair to coordinate the strategy, messaging, print materials, social media, email scheduling and other forms of outreach. Fundraising and/or non-profit experience will be helpful.

Help organize, promote and assist with helping out on race day.

Help develop print and digital pieces for events and annual fund materials. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is required.

Volunteers with experience in writing promotional, informational, and other content are needed. Bonus if you have experience with non-profits.

Create a calendar and schedule posts to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Volunteers should have experience in social media management.

Help sell raffle tickets at school events and/or the evening of the gala.

Volunteering your time to help raise awareness about SEED’s Annual Fund is important. Help is needed to reach out to past donors through phone calls, writing letters, and other means.

Maintain email lists and set up and send out email campaigns using MailChimp. Volunteers should have experience with email marketing platforms.

Come up with ideas to make the gala look amazing and tie into the theme for the event.

Volunteers with a communications background are needed to help write, strategize, organize content, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Join the Sponsorship & Advertising Team to reach out to previous donors and area businesses to ask for their support.

Reach out to previous donors to seek their support and help find potential new donors. Creative ideas for new items and experiences are welcome.

Join us in growing and harvesting fresh healthy produce for our neighbors. Volunteers will roll up their sleeves and get their hands in the dirt to support our urban farm.

Are you an experienced or a beginner photographer/videographer? Help us capture our mission by taking photos and/or videos at Urban Ecology Center programs and events.

As the face of the Urban Ecology Center, reception volunteers greet visitors and answer general questions about the Center. Reception volunteers also answer and direct phone calls along with promotion of the Hive.

Support our educational programs during the school day or our after-school nature clubs and adventure programs. Volunteers set up, help lead activities, and give participants individualized attention during their program.

Help with trail maintenance, erosion control, and replacing invasive species with native plants. ROOT will most often take place outdoors, so come prepared for the weather.

Kick-start your day with fresh air and bird song. Volunteer and contribute to community science as we identify species within UEC green spaces. Interested bird watchers of all ability levels are welcome.
