Sidney Vol Fire Department is looking for dedicated members to join our department as Firefighters. We are active in the town of Sidney, MT and serve a majority of Richland County. Members would be required to undergo a 30+ hour training conducted by our staff onsite, consisting of approximately 3-4 hours a week. Members will gain knowledge of operations pertinent to City and County Structure Firefighting, County Wildland firefighting, auto vehicle fire and extrication, and rescue operations. Members will also work on the department with community events and activities. Members gain access to the Department Facilities including Weight Room. Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of the Application. 2. Must have lived in Richland County for a minimum period of One year. 3. Must reside and work within a reasonable close distance to the fire hall. Determined by the Fire Department. 4. Must possess a valid Montana drivers license. 5. Must be willing to take a physical examination by a local physician. 6. Must be physically and mentally fit, enough to perform the duties required. Determined by the Fire Department. 7. Must be able to obtain spouse's consent for service. Also must obtain Employer's consent to serve during work hours. 8. Must complete a 30+ hour onsite training conducted by officers within SVFD.
