Snow Heroes must shovel within 24-36 hours after the snow stops falling. Volunteers should wear their Snow Heroes gear.

Work alongside our Park Steward crew on weekdays to help maintain and preserve the natural beauty of Ward 8's parks. Tasks include trash removal, vine cutting, and other conservation activities.

Volunteer drivers are needed to help transport homeless dogs from North Carolina to Washington, D.C. every other Saturday. Volunteers will assist with transporting dogs along a specified route, ensuring they reach their foster or forever homes safely.

Volunteer tutors are needed to provide tutoring in mathematics and English Language Arts (ELA) for grades 3 and 4. Tutors will work with students in small groups to help them achieve at least a level 4 on their PARCC exams and excel in periodic assessments. Parents are encouraged to participate in tutoring sessions.
