KFICCC volunteers assist in inclusive childcare, preschool, and aftercare programs. Responsibilities include supervising children, supporting classroom instruction, and organizing recreational activities. Volunteers must be 15+ years of age and commit to a minimum of 40 volunteer hours annually.

Volunteers assist in organizing and facilitating recreational activities, workshops, or support groups, providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals to connect and engage. They also offer one-on-one support and companionship to individuals with disabilities, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting social integration.

Volunteers contribute to fundraising efforts and awareness campaigns, helping to raise crucial funds and spread the organization’s message to a broader audience. Their dedication and commitment are instrumental in creating a positive impact.

Assist Eye Clinic staff with greeting clients, filing, and completing paperwork. Volunteers must be 21 years old.

Volunteers sort donations received during the week, organize them in the Clothing Closet, and help keep the closet neat and orderly.

Volunteers pick up food donations from area grocery stores/restaurants and deliver them to Shepherd’s Table. Volunteers must provide their own transportation.

Volunteers assist with setting up the dining room, food preparation, serving meals, washing dishes, and cleaning the kitchen and dining area after meals. Meal service volunteer times are available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Assist staff with distributing mail, toiletries, and other items to clients, filing and completing paperwork, and helping with other tasks. Volunteers must be 21 years old and people-oriented with basic clerical skills.

Update the Integrated Solid Waste Management course content to address challenges, innovations, and advancements. Collaborate with subject matter experts and develop supplementary resources.

Support SWANA’s annual conference by contributing industry expertise to assist in event strategy. Provide input on overall event content direction and other components.

Contribute to developing guidance and best practices to prevent fires caused by lithium-ion batteries, specifically for protecting workers and preventing damage at facilities and in vehicles.

Provide guidance on SWANA’s safety programs, resources, and initiatives, in coordination with SWANA staff and SWANA Safety Ambassadors. Support SWANA’s collaborations related to safety and review and rate the SWANA Safety Award Submissions.

Contribute to developing laws, regulations, and voluntary action for improving battery and electronics collection, recycling, labeling, and design.

Update the Transfer Station Management course content to address challenges, innovations, and advancements. Collaborate with subject matter experts and develop supplementary resources.

Provide input and leadership to SWANA YP initiatives, including webinar sessions, YP representative meetings, and SWANA's Student Design Competition.
