Coffeen Volunteer Fire Department is seeking individuals that are willing to serve their community as firefighters, emergency medical responders, or emergency medical technicians. We rely on a diverse and robust membership to ensure that we can serve the residents of the Coffeen Fire Protection District and surrounding areas. Coffeen Fire Department responds to 100+ incidents annually, including structure and wildland fires, emergency medical services, automobile incidents, and mutual aid. | Requirements: All new members must between the ages of eighteen (18) and fifty-five (55). Applicants must live within or in close proximity to the Coffeen Fire Protection District. Applicants must have resided in their residents for a least six (6) months, unless they have been a member of another fire department. The executive board must approve all applications and proximity to the district. Applicants can be taken on the department as EMS (Emergency Medical Services) only and are not required to take firefighter classes unless he or she decides to become a firefighter. Junior Firefighter: Junior Firefighter members serve in support role for the senior firefighters at actual emergencies as a supplement to a formal training program.
